Beyond that fact, as my text states, “The Londoners desired to clarify their instructions to Hartshorne, whom they trusted and knew would come to no harm from Fenwick and his influences.” His remote location at Portland would virtually preclude Fenwick from exacting revenge on Hartshorne.Jerseymanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16969274790456424479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-779291837523434339.post-35842157966465519912010-10-26T13:02:19.213-04:002010-10-26T13:02:19.213-04:00Why did they pick Richard Hartshorne of East New J...Why did they pick Richard Hartshorne of East New Jersey? http://books.google.com/books?id=Cy88CpankH8C&pg=PA88&lpg=PA88&dq=%22richard+hartshorne%22+jersey&source=bl&ots=CY64MaTSjd&sig=FwEB44f47wOT2sQUgC4z0oR-mmg&hl=en&ei=LAnHTN2IK4Gs8AaPwtwG&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=9&ved=0CEEQ6AEwCA#v=onepage&q=%22richard%20hartshorne%22%20jersey&f=falseAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-779291837523434339.post-88797320924041934562010-10-25T01:18:45.443-04:002010-10-25T01:18:45.443-04:00Fascinating material! I've been following the trail of Thorne, Thackara, Sloan, and the Newton Colony.<br />This puts a whole new view on the settling of these areas, Burlington and Big Timber Creek. This is my next line of exploration. Thanks so much for the enlightening information. It will take me a long time to digest it. I'll be returning here to read it again, I'm sure!Jo Ann Wrightnoreply@blogger.com
